Getting Green Fingers at DMU with Green Impact

This week the Green Impact staff teams from Estates & Commercial Services and Student & Academic Services (SAAS) have been planting a beautiful selection of ‘Bees Mix’ bulbs on the DMU campus between Hugh Aston and Edith Murphy. The 7000 bulbs have been planted by our Green Impact staff ably assisted by some enthusiastic student volunteers who have been getting their hands muddy to give bees a space at DMU to gather from these pollen rich plants.

Keep an eye on this patch of grass throughout the year as the plants will be rearing their heads around February, perfect timing for when we’ll all need a little bit of a colour boost in our lives.

Here’s a little glimpse of our volunteers in action.
